Scott Cunningham remains one of the most beloved figures in the modern Wiccan movement
He authored over 30 books before his passing in 1993, many of which are now considered must-haves in a witch’s library

Generations of witches have studied his teachings on herbs, crystals, and the art of living magically
One of the most iconic introductions to solitary practice comes from his book Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner

Another favorite among magical kitchens is Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Wicca in the Kitchen
—a heartwarming reminder that food is sacred, enchanted, and deeply connected to the Earth.

Here’s what he had to say about food:
> “Food is magic. Its power over us is undeniable. From the sweet, rich lure of a freshly baked brownie to an exquisite steamed artichoke, food continues to seduce us.
Food is life. We can’t continue to live without its magic.
Food, however, also harbors energies. When we eat, our bodies absorb those energies, just as they absorb vitamins, minerals, amino acids, carbohydrates, and other nutrients.
Though we may not be aware of any effect other than a sated appetite, the food has subtly changed us… Eating is merging with the earth. It is a life-affirming act. Ritually preparing and eating specific foods is an effective method of enhancing and improving our lives.”
