Thanks to movies, most people picture Thor as a blond, muscle-bound warrior wielding a massive hammer
—and hey, that’s not a bad image! But the Thor of Norse mythology doesn’t quite match the comic book version.

In the ancient tales, Thor is described as having fiery red hair and a red beard
. He is incredibly strong and wields Mjolnir (meaning Destroyer), a magical hammer that could crush mountains, summon thunder, and shatter winter’s icy grip
.

Did you know that Thursday is actually named after him?
Thor’s Day! The T-shaped symbol of his hammer is still worn today by those who follow Norse traditions. If you ever need a powerful ally or a boost of inner strength, consider calling upon Thor—especially on a Thursday. Just be sure to ask respectfully—he is the god of thunder, after all!
